Our meeting started by the pair discussion of your favorite English and Chinese songs and then introduced to other Blissers what and why your partners love these songs

And we went on the discussion what role that music plays in our life , which for Diana it’s kind of essential stuff for her that she always plays some music to end her day before sleep , she feels weird if going to bed without listening to music

She mentioned one memorable moment in her life was the time when she and her friends played music upon graduation and at the end of the meeting; she even played it for us. Super beautiful~

One Blisser shared she thought music is like a time machine, which can carry us right back to the old days upon listening to certain music, and one Blisser even share with us his very first love album with 2 poems and one song that he presented to a lady that he felt in love at first sight~ he recited the poem to Blissers.  We were touched by his sincerity and expected his finished “melody part” after Diana’s music tutorial.

Meeting went on, Diana introduced the 3 elements when composing a song, which are “Melody, Chord and Rhythm” and she led us experience all these 3 elements respectively and followed by playing a pop music and pairing the Blissers again to de-construct the song and try to tell the structure of song which are Intro, Verse, Pre Chorus Middle, Chorus, Bridge, Instrumental solo, Outro …all the Blissers did a great job after listening to “To Be With You” for quite a few times

At the end of the meeting , after experiencing the 3 elements and knowing the construction of songs , Diana shared with us her very own experience and then played the song which she wrote bassline in to us

We all enjoyed and learned a lot from Diana’s sharing and it is a pity we do not have enough time to tailor our own song as the meeting time went so fast! Diana promised to Blisses there’s going to be lesson 2 of her music class very soon and we all look forward to it so much

Attendees’ Feedback:

Blisser 1 : It’ a whole new music world to Blissers ~!!Great job !! Diana !! you are truly a lovely young talented music teacher to all Blissers !

And when we say you are our music teacher , we mean it ~you rejoice in what you learn and spray it ~like a real teacher does ~for this, we would like to thank you again and look forward to your next one ~!! Cheers to the lovely lady in blue !!

Blisser 2: Diana, thank you for sharing this topic. The moment I knew this meeting. It immediately got my attention. I am glad that I joined your meeting. The most useful tip for me is the chart about “how to write a song" from the chart i learn a new way to generate new ideas and the process of writing song “you rock”.

Words from host:

Thank you all for being so focused and supportive at today’s meeting. It means “a lot” to me! I appreciate having Blissers learning together. So touching and encouraging feedbacks I got from Blissers. This is my first time sharing (teaching) music stuffs so thoroughly, though I didn’t explain it so well but I try my best.  Thank you guys for listening and I’m so glad you guys get inspiration

Listen to this piece of music furthermore:

Wooooo baby baby it’s a wild world~

Blissers, are always exploring this wild world of music songs. Learn an instrument or start singing.

(Mr. Big is an American hard rock supergroup formed in Los AngelesCalifornia, in 1988) No matter you’re writing a song or not, listen first and you’ll catch some inspiration!!!

Reflections

It was really a resourceful meeting ever in Bliss in which we shared, listened and played music with each other. Still we leave many “composing” things to be desired because of time constraints. Let’s look forward to her Part II very soon in the near future! Stay Tune!
