Our future chairman in 2008, Michael, hosted a great meeting last weekend. We learn a lot American Idioms and find the American Idioms are so interesting. Besides, we also know the different taboo in different countries and culture. I will upload the photoes later. Please be patient for this.

 

People say that " The last one is always the Best one.". Bernis will be the last host in 2007. I can tell you she is very good at fashion stuff and trend. This weekend she will teach you how to make the most unique necklace and wristlet by yourself. She needs to know how many people will join and prepare the materials for you guys. Bliss YEP (Year End Party) will be coming soon on Dec.15^th 2007. I believe all of you are waiting for this big event for a long time. YEP is so meaningful for all Blissers. We can see many old & new members in the party to share everything happened this year. 2007 crew will prepare many activities and performance for all participants. Please do not miss it otherwise you will be regretful for whole year.

 

2007 YEP will be held in a very wonderful place, OUTBACK STEAK HOUSE. Its ball room is pretty big for around 70 people. Moreover, they can provide us professional equipment for our activities. Last weekend, Ethan gave us a wonderful afternoon. We know real estate market is so close to us and foreclosure is such an interesting thing. Even we can get very good benefit from it if we can operate it well. Owing to some reasons, I can not upload the pictures on time but I will make it soon. Please wait.

 

Besides, another good news , Sheena will postpone her meeting to 2008 and she will give us the whole meeting, not just half. If you want to know how to do CPR and other rescue skills, please come to join her meeting. I will keep you informed about the exact meeting schedule.

 

This weekend, Jay, the Sunny Boy in Bliss, will host his first meeting.He is very good at mountain climbing and has abundant knowledge about this field.   If you love the outdoor activities, his meeting will meet your any demand absolutely.

Chingchih is the host this weekend. She is a social worker and her job is about employment service for visually impaired people.She notices that there is a lot of misunderstanding between us and blind people.  This Sat, blissers will have  a close up for visually impaired people and  chingchih will share how modern technology devices assist them in their lives and work.

 

Can you imagine that how many abilities that you will lose if you become blind? One…not able to see only .No! No! No!  It’s 20 different abilities. For example, the ability to read, to write, to move independently and so on.

    Do you know how a serious visually impaired person works as a clerk in Working House(生活工場) and handles about 4000 various items in the store?  What’s the trick or magic that he has?

   This Saturday, I’ll introduce blissers that how modern technology solves the problems that visually impaired people face in their daily lives and work. How do they surf in internet, using MSN or Skype?

Just last weekend, we had a wonderful Outing in 三峽.Though it was raining a little, we still enjoyed a lot. I will collect the pictures and upload to our Blog as soon as possible. All of you just give me some time.

 

About this weekend meeting, the most young, pretty, and energetic member, Joyce will be the host. She will discuss with us an interesting but serious topic : Why are there so many Singles available now ? Why do not they want to get married ? Finally, finally, we finished the long break and can have a meeting back this weekend. How about your Mid-Autumn Festival ? Do you gain weight because eating too many moon cake ? Really can not wait to see all of you !

This weekend, Tannya will be our host. She is a very professional and excellent psychologist and works in several famous universities. "Congnitive Therapy" is the topic of her meeting. She will share with us her professional knowledge about congnitive therapy in a common and simple way. If you are interested in it, please come to join us this weekend. I can assure you will gain much more than you can imagine.

 

I believe most of you guys have heard of something about psychotherapy. So far it has been created hundreds of ways of doing it, such as art therapy, group therapy, narrative therapy, hypnosis and so on. However, behind all these methods there runs only some major theories, such are like psychoanalysis and client-centered therapy, and cognitive theory is almost the most prevalent and popular one of the day.

This weekend I am going to use the content of a book called “cognitive Therapy Techniques” (recently I translated it into Chinese) as my teaching material and let you guys have a glance of the background theory of cognitive therapy and some basic techniques of it. Anyone who got some interests of psychotherapy is welcomed to join us and share your opinions and thoughts and hopefully you can in the end practice it in the real life and help others!

After joining Raphael's meeting, all the participants should have more clear sketch about your love, your work, and your future. I heard some members are very shocked and surprised with Tarot's exact prediction. So it will be fabulous if Raphael can host another meeting for Tarot section 2. About the photo, I am sorry I can not show you this week because Yahoo will close the photo upload service. All the photos will be transferred to another web, Flickr. It takes about one week. So I will post the link to everyone next week.

 

This weekend, we will have our auction again. Our chairwoman, Vicky, will host the auction for us. She will introduce various auction in the world. The rest time is our auction time. It is very interesting to do this with all English conversation. Please come to join us this weekend.

Are happy with your life ? Are you confused with your future ? Do you want to know the boy/girl you love also love you ? This week, Raphael will teach us how to see our future by Tarot reading. Raphael is a professor of Taiwan Technology University and also prfessioanl for Tarot. Many people say Tarot works very good in this way. So you are interested in this, make sure to join us this week.

 

You might see Tarot cards before, but have you wondered how these cryptic cards might tell you? Tarot cards are traditionally used in fortune-telling and meditation. In a modern terminology, people will say that you can talk with your subconscious via the Tarot cards. I am going to share with you the secret of these cards. I will first talk about the legends and evolution of the tarot cards. I will demonstrate several different Tarot spread and their usage (I will need some volunteers, and they can get a reading for free). I will then discuss the symbolism embedded in the cards and tell you how to become a Tarot reader.

Everyone in the meeting will have to do Tarot reading for others (or be the ones to be read). After the meeting, hopefully those gifted people will be able to do Tarot reading as a part time job in coffee shops!
