The meeting started….
The hostess Anita shared us why she decided to study in China before. Meanwhile, she was afraid that she couldn’t find a satisfying job after graduating from the college.
After the sharing, she asked Blissers the following questions:
- Have you ever been to China for study/work?
- Do you have any experience in China would like share with us?
- Or if you just feel curious about this topic, welcome to join with us!
Answer from myself, as I have no chance to go to study anywhere. As if I had a chance to go to study in China, I will think of the reason of what I want to be. Firstly, is it possible to earn a lot of money? Or is it possible to have self-growth? Other Blissers share some experience working or travel in China.
According to Anita, if we want to study in China, we must pass the test called “Joint Entrance Examination”. It’s only for those students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. In our opinion, It seems China regards Taiwan students same as students in HK and Macau.
What differences between Taiwanese and Chinese students?
From Anita’s sharing, we have a closer look of study life in China University. Anita mentioned her dormitory has no shower rooms. Therefore, she needed to walk for 2 minutes to go there and line up for 5 to 20 minutes. At the same time, there were no curtains and hair dryers. But if you study in Taiwan, they will never happen at all!
Moreover, the air pollution in Beijing is worse than that in Taiwan. The annual average of PM 2.5 in Taiwan has been within 7 to 28, but it has been over 200 in Beijing! After Anita’s research last night, she found that the PM 2.5 was even over 600 on ONE Chinese New Year Eve.
Last but not the least, we also learned as Taiwanese students used to gain lots of supports at home in contrast with Chinese students who are top students chosen from each city in China, Taiwanese’s students need to empower themselves in abilities more while competing with Chinese students.
Let’s read some feedback from Blissers:
“I was impressed with Anita’s bravery. Optimistic and never- giving- up attitude. Thank you for your sharing and look forward to your 2nd meeting. And more secrets behind your stories….”
“Thank you, Anita for giving us such a great and meaningful meeting. I really learned a lot of China from your first-hand experience and feeling…..”
“……You have sparked our passion. You have led us into your inner voice. And we were drawn into your funny yet interesting anecdotes during your stay in Beijing……”
Reflections
Let’s have a big applause to Anita for her very first Bliss meeting with HUGE Success! For sure, we also look forward to her China study/working life Part II very soon in 2019!! Cheers!
