Hi Blissers,

Ashow gave us a brief introduction of English contract last week.

First, she introduced what a contract is.

A contract is an "enforceable" agreement between two or more parties creating obligations.

The point is "enforceable".

Then, she introduced some English terminology ralating to contract.

We know the word (terminology), but we don't know its meaning in law.

Here are some of them.

damage: Loss or injury to person or property.

damages: Money paid as the normal remedy in the law as compensation for an individual or company's loss cause by a wrongdoes.

consideration: Bargained-for exchange for performance/promise by one party from the other.

POA(Power of Attorney): An instrument granting someone authority to act as agent for the grantor.

Ashow also showed us the framework of a contract.

The last event was we seperated as 4 groups and negotiated the Governing Law in the contract.

We are really appreciating Ashow's introduction of English contract.

We had 2 new members joined this meeting. They are Joe Wang and Erica Chen.

That's true. Dali left indelible mark: everything from cinema to

painting, to jewelry and fashion to design and advertising even comedy

in 20 century. There isn't much that Dali hasn't changed. I think his

role is just like Ladygaga today. Let's go into his dream world and

find his marvelous ideas this Saturday!
